You are amazing and so inspiring to me, Cathy! These moments, like you seeing a spider on wild ginger, remind me that I need to remember who I really am and what I love.
Thank you for that insightful comment, Charlene. Last night I looked back on my life and important memories. The 35 years I taught I did important work, but I was so disconnected. My 20 years of childhood I connected to animals, nature, and the outdoors. The last 15 on the farm and in Athens I’ve reconnected to that aspect of my life. I’m thinking about writing a memoir called Finding my PLACE to explore those phases that reflect my authentic self. You hit the nail right on the head!
That's a great shot of the wild ginger! I'm excited to follow your Journey in Place along with Becki. I'm hoping to share mine too if I can get myself together.
I love this Cathy! You've lived in some COLD places, I better our current weather system isn't fazing you a bit. Oh, a meadow of milkweed and monarchs sounds AMAZING! One year, we had several tagged monarchs visit our flower garden. They were always my daddy's favorite. Looking forward to where you take us on your "journey in place".
Thank you, Becki. I have to admit that I NEVER adjusted to Minnesota winters! My toes, nose, and fingers were red and cold for five months every year. I left there in 1970 and have embraced the south here in Georgia. Thank you for following my journey.
